is it even still the Eurasian Bistro? i thought it was under new ownership - cause that manager, the White dude who somehow had Jamaican heritage doesn't seem to be there any more

so...

i have completely lost faith in the eurasian bistro in HUB... up until recently, they had my highest regard... but then one of the people working there didn't even know what green beans were let alone if they were in the food i was ordering or not... and then they were in it, and i had to return my food... grr...

and then today, i ordered the butter chicken... and while i'm all for getting hot food from the stove instead of the stuff sitting in the display warmer, it should be cooked first so, after having eaten a couple pieces of sauce-drenched naan bread (mmm, so tasty) i bit into a piece of chicken to find it not exactly, um, tender, pulling it out of my mouth to find it a vivid shade of pink... so... what do you do? i don't feel like walking back to hub, but if i get sick... what then? i think i'll be okay, i didn't eat much of it, yet, the principle of the thing still applies...

who the hell serves uncooked food to their patrons??

I'VE FUCKIN' LIVED

I'd just like to say that you haven't lived until you've held a man's beating heart in your hands as he lies on the operating table...

Unfortunately, I haven't lived. But holding the (eerily still warm) upper lobe of his right lung is still pretty cool. Probably even worth the horrible smell of cauterized human flesh.

Oh, and happy day, Birth-AD.

Canada's Cultural Capital 2007
It was announced by Canadian Heritage at City Hall on Monday that Edmonton has been designated Cultural Capital of Canada 2007. This is a major recognition at a national level , bringing funding up to $2 M to our city. "Cultural activity and awareness has exploded in the city since Mayor Stephen Mandel took office..." wrote the Edmonton Journal on December 18. A vibrant arts and culture scene is at the heart of the Next Gen recommendations and view on what makes this city so great!

Jokes Made By Robots, For Robots:

"Waiter! Waiter! What's this robot doing in my soup?"
"It looks like he's performing human tasks twice as well, because he knows no fear or pain."

What's a robot's favorite cereal?
Rob-os.
(Note: Rob-os are made of the tears of human children.)

Little Susie tosses a clock out the window. A robot inquires, "Why did you do that?" She replies, "I wanted to see time fly!" The robot says, "Ah ... A perfect subject for elimination," and shoots her with a laser beam through the face.

Why was six afraid of seven?
Because seven was a robot.

I hate my roommate. It smells like onions 24/7. Nothing like the smell of raw onions when you take a shower at 4am on an empty stomach to make you feel like you're going to pass out or throw up. How does your shower curtains end up smelling like onions when you turn on the water!? On the brighter side of things...4 more sleeps!
