so... back in Hinton... yee haw... no more highway work for me - we're goin' back country from now on, so Jere and Dana, you got a rare treat... seeing me at work! :)
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the rest of July. Fly safely home, you travellers, and um, I'll see you all in two months... unless you're going to the Folk Fest. I dunno about this job. I think I'm glad it's only two months... but we'll see. You'll probably read a lot of ranting from me if things get a bit un-fun.
Okay, have a blast with all the shows coming up, those you're playing in Taylor, Eric, Eric and Jere, and those you're going to see. Those of you working: don't let work drag you down too much this summer; and those of you not working: what the fuck are you doing indoors? Get outside and enjoy this weather, so that you can legitimately bitch come winter.
Anyway, yee haw, counting berries.

Doesn't that dude with the short hair look like a kid that went to Ainlay though? That picture always bugs me because of that...

what I meant is that you can't take two 3 gigahertz processors, stick them together and call it a 6 gigahertz CPU. I mean, maybe that's what they ARE doing, I haven't researched it enough to know for sure... but if that IS the case then that seems misleading to me. Call me on it if I'm wrong, because I don't know for sure; but in my mind I don't see how 2 3gig CPUS would be nearly as fast as one dedicated 6gig CPU. That's what I meant by efficiency. And by "interim" solution, I mean that eventually something new is going to have to be developed. You can't just keep adding another processor everytime you want to go faster... if you did, computers would eventually be on the path to room-sized machines again (I'm exaggerating of course, but you know what I mean)! In the meantime, this is a quick and neat solution... but singular processor development will have to continue to some extent, and if not that; an entirely new architecture altogether will need to be constructed... which I think will ultimately be the case.
