Sometimes you get really drunk at a house party and give three rings to three girls without even having had the rings appraised (they may or may not have been valuable... how I obtained them is another story altogether). This seems like a good idea when you're drunk, but sober logic would state otherwise. Consider the following arguments:

  • I'm broke and really could've used the money if those rings were worth anything.

  • One of the girls I gave a ring to is really hot but has a boyfriend she is totally in love with. This benefits me in no way whatsoever.

  • One of the girls I gave a ring to is a complete stranger who I will never meet again. Useless.

  • The last girl I gave a ring to is pretty good-looking, doesn't have a boyfriend, nor is she a stranger. This sounds like it might be promising until I remember she's a lesbian and I'm an idiot.

But then there's other times you go to the gay bar and meet your aforementioned lesbian friend who introduces you to her new FUCKING HOT GIRLFRIEND as "her husband" (since she has your ring) and then you spend a good 2 and a half hours on the dancefloor with the 2 of them grinding you hard on either side and pressing your face in their chests.

The moral of this story is:

    DRUNK-ME WINS AGAIN!!!!

Andy's got a brand new camera, so we've gone and created something on GeekFest night. (I know, reality crumbles as we speak.)

EDIT: Hmm, it seems that I could watch it on YouTube when I logged in, but when I logged out, it says it's "processing". Mayhaps give it a little while with the YouTube. (Don't worry about the "no longer available". It should be up soon.)

    EDIT EDIT: Works now.

I'm gonna blame that typo on a missed key, I think. As for Ottawa, I have yet to decide where I'm doing my electives, but doing one in Central or Eastern Canada is definitely on the list.

You may have see this already

The first part is in my "native language," and then the second part provides a translation, or at least an explanation. This is not a look-at-the-autie gawking freakshow as much as it is a statement about what gets considered thought, intelligence, personhood, language, and communication, and what does not.

Holy craps people! The canal is frozen and now I can skate on the 2km stretch that's open this weekend. Now I can say that I've done everything in Ottawa. In other news, it's -28 degrees with windchill and if you're skating on it tonight, then you're totally dumb. As dumb as me walking to and from work instead of taking the bus. I think Para should go to Ottawa for a rotation here. Someone from Calgary came to do that.
