One of the guys in the Systems lab swore by Cygwin. Some might argue that you may as well install Linux.
I'm not sure what you can actually do with it, though. I've seen it used mostly for coding, but I don't think that's what you have in mind, right Percy?

Has anyone tried Cygwin? If so, comments? I'll probably give it a try later.

Hey Chris,
I just remember in elementary they used to use rice and call it maggots, or spaghetti and call it worms. Cauliflower looks like brains. I don't know if that helps at all.
On another note - does anyone want a kitten? My sister has an adorable little kitten (it is a barn cat, but it is adorable and would make an awesome house cat). It is a long haired cat (not so good for people who don't like cat hair, but rediculously adorable), and it is white with beautiful blue eyes. One of its relatives has the same coloring as it, and it still has blue eyes even as an adult, so we think this one may keep the blue eyes. It is also incredibly friendly. It ran up to my sister the first time it saw her (was also the first time it saw a human, which, believe me, is incredible for a barn cat to do). Also, my 2 year old nephew was playing with it the other day (and two year olds do not play gently with kittens), and the cat didn't do anything. It just kind of went limp until it was rescued, and didn't run away after. This kitten will probably die in the winter if I can't find a home for it (fall kittens usually do, sad as it is), so if anyone wants it, let me know!

They have the fire going early this year on channel 18. It seems that it's just a thanksgiving holiday thing, but this time it features live action. I've seen them stoke the fire, put on a fresh log and drop fresh water on the turkey to make it look appealing and not dry out. Those of you who like the log at christmas, will love the thanksgiving version.

Well done, Percy. And only 12 hours too late. Not bad. I told you I wouldn't bring it up; that you'd have to do it...
