what the freaken hell. this job appears to be a freaken joke. the guys that were supposed to do the work while we were gone, so that we could work again on monday when we returned did a couple of hours worth of work and then left. apparently there was almost a rod buster war. so instead of one crew of them leaving so the other could work, they both left. and my (probably former) boss decided not to call any of us and have us come in for monday anyways. yet he knew that nothing was done the day after we left. so, instead of being here for a few weeks, I may be back in time for wings tomorrrow, or I may be heading somewhere else completely.anyways, I am going to go find some sort of party tonight. maybe see you tomorrow!

Dale Murray makes the pedal steel sexy... haha! sorry, now i am done objectifying this fine specimen of plaid-wearing musical talent

Well, it finally happened. After months of telemarketers with Indian accents offering me long distance service (apparently because I am more likely to buy from a person with an Indian accent?), finally, just now, it has reached it's logical conclusion: telemarketers that just start out in Hindi.
I do not speak Hindi. Except, perhaps, the dramatic "NA-HEEEEEEEEE!" I've learned from Bollywood films. Somehow, I doubt it'll work, though; "no" hasn't ever worked before...

John Hodgman on his upcoming second book of trivia, in comparison to his first:
Yes, it will be more of the same but considerably longer. My only regret with the first was that it was not so physically massive that it inspired real concern for my sanity. I hope to change that with the new book.
... and upping the price of his book to $22 (from $21.95):
I don't like coinage. We've made all this progress. I don't need to go back to the goddamned Roman times.
