Well it differs for every person I guess. I think it is fair wages (as far as salary go for engineers, it is above avaerage), actually more then fair, throw on benefits and I'm pretty happy. I mean the work isn't bad, the people are great and I can't see anything wrong. I can't see why people would leave, but then again I'm not them, they had their reasons.

back in town for a couple days. anything going on? ciao
Al, if you think you are being treated fairly, then keep on keepin on. if you feel that there is merit in what your former co-workers have done, and that they are making more for the same thing. you may want to let your boss know, or do as they did and seek greener pastures. if company loyalty is hindering you from making what you deserve, then they are taking advantage of you and your loyalty. don't burn any bridges on your way up though. think it through, and do what will work for you.

Was just driving past the Princess and noticed that Who Killed the Electric Car? is playing. Assuming that it's still there (my luck, of late, has been pretty brutal), is anyone up for seeing it Saturday night (9:10)?

True, respect. I think that what people are lacking. They say they hate there job but it is all a matter of respect. Does your employer respect you and do you respect your employer. I mean the pay was pretty fair, throw in benefits and I think it was pretty competitve with what everyone else was offering. I mean you deserve a fair wage but on the other hand your employer can't offer you all the money in the world. It is definitly a balance of what can I offer you and what can you offer me. I guess it's hard seeing people go like that, it makes you feel weird for staying. Arrrrrr..... Arrrr.....

i would say loyalty falls into the category of respect, which is a two-way street.
i can't speak for all the employees that have left your company, but if they feel they're not getting the respect (money) they deserve then it wouldn't necessarily be wrong for their leaving
