Thanks for the heads up, Jsese; I'll be sure to keep that in mind about my leather gloves.
Seriously, though, it's good to hear you're, uh, oh well (albeit a little damp.) Some might point out that you post more often when you're not in town, but I'll just take the news when I can get it (as well as an endorsement of my brilliant interface-writing skills.)
Islanders owner Charles Wang has released all his players and replaced them with bobbleheads.
Okay, not really. But after the Garth Snow thing, and the Rick DiPietro thing, anything's possible, right?

Holy crap working in the rain sucks ass when you left all your rain gear in the hotel room. weak sauce on my part. If anyone was wondering leather gloves hold alot of water in them. Oh well, they are moving me to a better hotel room for a week, cause some large group wants the entire section ( the swiss villiage). oh well I say again.
ciao

Jess, you appear to have editted your message into blank-ness. I've reverted it though. Unfortunately, because of how my code works and because they haven't restored shell access to the server, you won't be able to edit that same message again. Sorry.

Bonfire!
At Jess' house, 8pm Saturday night. I will have s'mores, pop, and jiffy popcorn, if you want anything else you'd better bring it yourself. If it's raining we'll have to find something else to do.
Pass the word along.

dimitri came back with some crazy stories about Burningman. Peep this shit:
The Belgian Waffle at Burning Man 2006
It took 3 weeks to build on site in the desert, the wood came from canada via truck. It has raised the 'ante' in the burning man 'arts-arms-race' to all new highs & sizes. It cost $400,000 to build / transport / feed & house the crew and structure. Its quite possibly the most interesting architectural structure ever made at burning man, the temples are great and all but frankly seem somewhat formulaic in light of this. And they burnt it down.

Second night in Florence, and it has been absolutely amazing. Such a beautiful city! Saw the Ponte Vecchio and the Galeria dell'Academia today, and tomorrow the Uffizi. One more full day before it's time to move on to Austria. It'll be interesting to see what a new language and cultural group has in store for us. Hopefully at the very least the train system will be better.
