if i were to name the 3 assholes of the game, conklin would only be second.... first is bergeron, who checked the guy into rolo.... conklin only cost them the game, bergeron could cost them the series.... i will reign in my natural pessimism and not say that it will be impossible for the oilers to come back in this series, because im sure a lot of people thought the 1980 miracle on ice was impossible.... instead i will only say that it will be very difficult for the oilers to win the cup with the stomach-churning duo of jussi and conklin taking turns letting in weak goals. lets just hope the oilers forwards have the ability to score 20 goals a game

quite honestly, i think Rollie's streak was coming to a close. a goalie who is on his game will not let in 4 straight, breakaways or not. admittedly Mac-T made some very bad defensive decisions tonight (spacek with Pronger) and that REALLY did not help Rollie. plus Smith put in a surprisingly bad game tonight. i counted at least 3 uncharacteristic turnovers. he'll be better. so will Pronger.

we can still win. they were hungry with 15 secs left. if we start game 2 strong, we're still in it. otherwise, we're fucked. carolina's not THAT good a team. seriously. Buffalo with a shattered defense core STILL almost beat them, us with an uncertain goalie, could still win.
