Schedule for Round Three (I can't believe I wrote three... that's nuts):

* Game 1 at Anaheim: Friday, May 19, 7 pm
* Game 2 at Anaheim: Sunday, May 21, 7 pm
* Game 3 at Edmonton: Tuesday, May 23, 6 pm
* Game 4 at Edmonton: Thursday, May 25, 6 pm
* Game 5 at Anaheim: Saturday, May 27, 7 pm (if necessary)
* Game 6 at Edmonton: Monday, May 29, 6 pm (if necessary)
* Game 7 at Anaheim: Wednesday, May 31, 7 pm (if necessary)

I guess that means that Geekfest is co-opted once again for hockey. Given that the reason is hockey, one of the prevailing themes of the 'fest over the past year and a half, I don't particularly mind.

This schedule also bodes well for Ed (and possibly Mary as well), as Saturday's festivities will only be dominated with talk about hockey, as opposed to gawking and cheering at hockey.

On the topic of Sunday's game, I wouldn't mind having people over at my place (I'd like to share in some of the fun, too.) Perhaps we can finalize that later, though.

Oh yeah, and w00t.

I feel it is defanitly worth it to be somewhere near whyte tonyte. the atmosphere is unbelievable. I am going to try to be there, probably pub 1905 shortly after 5. as long as I don't get roped into working tonight. If we win, I highly recomend taking a walk down whyte ave. you don't need to worry about getting stabbed unless of course you are starting fights with knife wielding maniacs. It is an experience that is hard to duplicate. I'll be there as soon as humanly possible for me.

wow work is slow today. way too nice out, but way too many crazy telescope people on the phone none the less.

For serious. But I'm not really planning an event here. If you want to go, you should go - If you don't want to go, don't go.

Parking is only restricted on Whyte ave itself. The ave will be closed at 6pm (102 to 107th). Parking in the surrounding area will probably be tough to find, but not impossible. I'm going to try and be at the BP's at aprox. 4:45. I don't know if that is early enough, I'll see I guess.

Well Ed, my co-workers who go down to Whyte to see the game claim that unless you get there at 3:30 PM, you won't get a seat anywhere. Plus they are enforcing a parking rule on whyte that resticts driving or parking around that area after 6:00PM. So unless you are fully commited to going I don't really see going to whyte as a viable option. BP on Calgary trail will probally be a bit better.

I probally won't be going down to whatever location you guys choose until a bit later.

I'm hoping to watch the hockey game tomorrow at the BP's on Whyte ave. I've let some of you know, but if you do want to come, let me know so I can try and save a seat. It would probably be even better if you could show up early to get a seat since it will be pretty busy. Otherwise, if it's tough for people to get down to Whyte Ave, the BP's on Calgary Trail (near Moxies) might be better. But we'd still have the problem of having to get seats. Lemmie know what you think.

The concert was a blast indeed. I had to buy a t-shirt because I needed something dry to put on. The crowd, while still many anoying tweens, was much better than the Metric concert. Deffinatly one of my favorite shows of the year so far. The journal didn't think much of the show though. I thought the most serene republic stepped it up for this show. I really wasn't impressed the last time I saw them, but I really got into them this time. I went to Halo for a few minutes afterwards. It was pretty mellowtastic. didn't wait around for potential strokes spottings. Too burnt out by the end of it. The rumourmill was actually a bunch of cards from Halo telling people to come to the strokes afterparty. The mill was actually Halo hyping themselves.

tonight I'll be kicking the futbol around at about 7 at ainlay if anyone is so inclined.
