Some hockey reading for the bored (or for those not enamoured by thoracic anatomy and would like nothing more than to not have to study for the exam on Friday):
MacT and Babcock disagree about which Oiler has been the best player in the series thus far. (I can only hope they drum up some more candidates over the next couple of days.)
The Hockey News takes some... interesting letters:
I’m worried. Can a damaged shoulder really affect my game?
- Jaromir J, New York
You probably won’t have the strength to start with, but take it slow and you will regain your form. Try moving down to a small wood instead of a long iron.
Clearly the Oiler fan's current arrogance about the way this series is going is slightly over the top. He might look at this series and think that, but for a few lucky bounces, the team could conceivably be one win away from a sweep.
Alongside that urge, naturally, rests that nagging doubt in your mind. That feeling that, in all likelihood, the arrogance will be for naught, the Red Wings will attain some superhuman form, and the Oilers will show themselves to be the same old underachievers, probably culminating with some unlikely
I call on you, the hesitantly hopeful Oiler fan, to ignore that pessimistic voice. Supposing that that irritatingly smug voice is right, and that your team will falter and fail to move on to the second round, then clearly now is the best time to make the most of that swagger; now, while you still can. On the flip side, should the copper and blue actually maintain this unlikely run and eliminate the erstwhile Greek bobsleigh hopeful, and dirty, cheap, diving, Hemsky-face-smashing bastard and his mates, your assumption -- your Dubyan determination in the face of all rational doubt -- will prove all the more correct, and you may lord it over your fellow (yet lesser) Oiler fans.
So might I say, while I still can, and while I can still claim that I am drunk on fortunate results of the recent past, a lack of sleep (not to mention that faint, haunting, ominous scent of formalin, anatomy lab, and the accompanying dread of Friday morning's bellringer exam):

yeah my homie Rob has one of those industry standard cameras that will do large format (meaning up to like billboard size)
as for Fongz & my Lomo it's currently on loan to edmonton photographic superstar Iraleigh Anderson

Tay you could go really old school and do large format photography. After reading "History of Photography" a science fiction story, I have more appreciation for photography.

yeah, I got a couple lomos, but I broke 'em. Ngz has got the original russian-made lomo camera. I always wanted to get a Helga. And I still wouldn't mind converting a standard battery-operated camera into a pin-hole camera. But with digital photography, I don't really see the point in going to all the trouble to have such sweet cameras when I can go digital and not have to pay money to develop my photos. Plus, I prefer taking 500 shots and throwing out the garbage ones to leave me with 50 really quality photos rather than conserve my film and really be worried and stressed out about getting the perfect shot. Digital photography killed the artform of the camera, though the artform of picture composition may have in fact improved. Give and take. You win some, you lose some.
