Yeah, Jsese: I say play the game and then come in time to see Akron. You DEFINITELY will not want to miss that. You'll have plenty more chances to see Cadence anyway.
Also: tickets for Moneen and Choke went on sale last week. I should probably get on that.

Can you clearly cancel out a vote with more than two parties running? I suppose you vote for one of the top two contenders. Plus parties do get money for each vote. And some parties need the cash more than others.
Also for anyone planning to spoil a vote. (Personally I think getting out and spoiling a vote is more legitimate than sitting at home...)

Beck & Keri - sorry I couldn't come out to help you guys out last night - my Dad was having a thing here that night and I was sort of expected to be around. Hope you like your new place.

Well, if you're still undecided for tomorrow, I have your answer. The information that will make your vote. The official Election 2006 "What Server Are They Running" index!
| Party | Server | Timeframe |
![]() | Windows 2000 Microsoft-IIS/5.0 | Always |
![]() | Linux Apache/1.3.33 Unix PHP/4.3.11 mod_ssl/2.8.24 OpenSSL/0.9.8 | Since 2005's switch from Windows |

I know what you're thinking. "Why couldn't I have had this precious info sooner, you useless bastard?!" Comments about my parentage aside, I can offer no explanation; only an apology and a promise to endeavour to be more on time in the future.
...
Man, I really don't want to do this research assignment.

I liked that quote from the Sun article you put up Par:
... Mike Cardinal said yesterday he doesn't think he has to say he's sorry for what happened.
"I don't think it's necessary," he told the Sun. "I think the right decision was made. We could have fought the case and dragged it on for 10 years."
What a beautiful way to put out the fire.

Ok, I'll admit it. I'm pretty set for disappointment for tomorrow's election. I think we all pretty much know who'll be in 24 Sussex (if not how long he'll be there.) Nevertheless, it won't stop me from cancelling out my Dad's vote in my own riding. In the short term, that's about all I can hope for. Sure Jimmy boy hasn't ever publicly denied eating babies, but he'll probably still win nonetheless.
In the long term, however, my hope grows, if only for statements like these:
The Conservative Party will provide the leadership to stand up for honesty and integrity in government. We will put in place stringent safeguards that will prevent corruption and make government more transparent, democratic, and accountable.
A great many people involved with the Tories' in Alberta are also supporters of Premier Klein and the provincial incarnation of the party. I, for one, can't wait for the stringent safeguards that will soon be brought to Ottawa to take hold in Alberta as well.
Who could possibly be against bringing honesty and integrity to a government that settled a lawsuit in an attempt to sweep this under the rug:
Curtis Roth, who has been receiving disabled benefits, and Donald Fitfield, an amputee with a fused spine also on AISH, filed the class-action lawsuit in September 2004.Clearly some behaviour that was accepted in the past, like refusing to apologize to AISH recipients, will no longer be tolerated in this new era of leadership and accountability.
They alleged that their benefits were arbitrarily docked for the full amounts of overpayments that were caused by administrative errors. They also said they weren't fully compensated when the government underpaid them.
So rejoice, disheartened Albertans. Change cometh! Unless, of course, all this accountability talk is just rhetoric. But, haha, they wouldn't do that to an optimistic fellow like me...
Would they?

hey Jesse, no worries on missing Cadence- i talked to Rollie yesterday and he said he's actually only going to be DJing (folky stuff too in accordance with the show) and will not be rapping. so you won't be missing much. good luck with that game.
but yeah if you, or anyone else would care to familiarize yourselves with Akron/Family goto HYPE MACHINE
http://hype.non-standard.net/
and search them. the site will give you a listing of all the mp3 blogs that have posted tracks from them and you can either listen to those songs on their online music player, or you can ReadPost and check out the actual Mp3 Blog where the mp3 was originally posted (and probably still available for download). Hype Machine's a seriously dope resource and if you're looking for any new music from any band you've heard recently i suggest you check it out.
but you don't have to take my word for it
load more posts . . .
