good point, Beck. I shall try that the next time my computer is doing more than updating all its applications and installing stuff. whee.
Anyway, I just came across this and thought I would share, cause there is nothing we need more than a little more chastity in our lives... for the last few hours of 2009. ... do not pull this in to 2010! No Christian Side Hugs in 2010!!! hahaha! I apologise for the super lame rap music, but it is SO worth it for the laugh. Christian rap that pretends to be hardcore with police sirens and the sounds of guns firing always makes me laugh.

Every laptop I've bought in the last 3 years has come with the crazy french layout... it's easy to reset to US. There should be a keyboard icon in the task bar to open up the options, if not it's in the control panel.

So... in case it ever comes up, JAVA and iTunes are not licensed for use in nuclear energy facilities. So say their EULAs. EULAs are, for the most part, really boring to read, but there are often-enough little gems like that that make it worthwhile. (plus I am still not into the whole skim and let slide way of doing things... that would be how you miss stuff that could actually be important later on - like my brother signing to agree that a shipment arrived in perfect condition without any damage and THEN opened the boxes to find damage)
EULAs, I would have to say, are about as entertaining to read as I am finding it is entertaining to learn how to use a Canadian French keyboard... whee! I wonder if I can re-set it to be normal English. I want my apostrophe back!
... though ù and é and è and à and ç and \ (this reads as a W with a horizontal line through it) are all pretty cool extra perks to have (without learning the alt + number coding usually required). Though I still do not know how to get to the fifth character on some of the keys. This is a strange laptop. (I bet you Future Shop did not realise they were selling such a wacky set of keys to their clientelle!)
anyway... now to install all the things I actually use, like firefox.

I was talking with Par earlier today and he brought this up:
Dyson Fan
I'll let the brains behind it describe how it works:

You've all seen Don Hertzfeldt's "Rejected", but how many of you have seen his shorts for the website "The Animation Show"?
There's even a small tie-in to the previous post at the end. (Robots!)
