That's even better, because then when the stupid animal drops dead of colic or brain aneurysms, I wouldn't feel so bad.

Of course, if you lived in Rajkot, it wouldn't be your dog or your cow. (I'm not sure that there's a real firm concept of ownership of those animals except insofar as, if it sleeps by your house, it's your cow.)

Also, I've mentioned The Big Picture ad nauseam, but their gallery of the inauguration is spectacular. I especially like this:

I wished I lived somewhere where dogs and cows could freely roam the streets. It would make owning a crazy Lab much easier! And I could probably manage riding my horse whereever I needed to get to and that would be awesome.

Rev. Joseph Lowery today:

Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get back, when brown can stick around -- (laughter) -- when yellow will be mellow -- (laughter) -- when the red man can get ahead, man -- (laughter) -- and when white will embrace what is right. Let all those who do justice and love mercy say amen.

So who wants to see the Wrestler on saturday? I'm thinking 9:10 PM showing, this will be at the Princess theater.

So if you want to see a torn and broken man wax philosophically like a Yukio Mishima novel then listen to my commentary during the movie, otherwise come and see the movie.
