A tale of over-engineering. My favourite part:
That's brilliant: we can reuse body heat more efficiently! This way, the system could be used when walking/jogging as well.
We'd simply use a thin inner-jacket (like a wind breaker) and run some flexible tubes from the tip of the sleeves to the midriff (which never seems to get cold). There'd be valved inlet and outlet water connectors at the sleeves to distribute the warmed water to the hands via a fine mesh of smaller tubes.
The water would circulate due to the one-way valves and compressions of the device caused by walking/cycling movements. If necessary, we could add the battery/dynamo-powered heater for extra warming of the water. Obviously, that'd be bicycle-specific, though.
They were contemplating re-engineering the human circulatory system. The response to all of these grand designs is even better, though.

That's all right, had a pseudo-flu last night, not good times.

Sorry, Al, I didn't get a chance to post something, but we decided to postpone until next week, because Jere's not here and neither Richard nor I were able to make it.
(Unless Andy did something and didn't tell me, in which case you can just ignore this message completely.)

uhhh... it didn't like our proxy at work and I didn't want to spend the time to get it operational. I hear every tab is its own process which is really nice but I like Firefox. I really don't want to spend the time getting used to a new browser.
Besides... it's a dumb name!

Aw SHIT, don LaFontaine gone??? DAMN!!! We're big fans of his at our work. That sucks.
Yeah, I never was able to convert to Firefox myself. Even 3.0 didn't totally cut it for me, I don't know why. I just didn't feel comfortable with it. But Chrome feels really good to me. I like it a lot already even though I haven't really put it through any rigors yet.
And yes, rest assured, EVERYTHING, including this board, looks better in Chrome.
It doesn't break anything.
Also, I'm a big fan of Scott McLoud's... so reading his comic maybe biased my opinion when I decided to download and install the requisite software, but I'm happy, and biased or not... I'm HAPPY. That's the main thing! hahaha.

With everything that's been swirling about Sarah Palin (for a quick summary, read Henry Champ), I was prompted to read about the only VP nominee-designate to withdraw from the nomination, Thomas Eagleton.
It's pretty sad story, actually. I wonder if ECT would be similarly disqualifying in the public eye today.
