With everything that's been swirling about Sarah Palin (for a quick summary, read Henry Champ), I was prompted to read about the only VP nominee-designate to withdraw from the nomination, Thomas Eagleton.

It's pretty sad story, actually. I wonder if ECT would be similarly disqualifying in the public eye today.

Damn, no mac version yet. Is it really an improvement? Or more an experiment. I didn't finish reading the comic, so I don't really know what to expect.

Most importantly, does it break my website?!

I know I've mentioned this before, but with ongoing stories about injunctions to prevent the activation of the Large Hadron Collider, I can't help but think about that early part of the disaster/superhero movie where some scientist is planning something and one lone crazy is telling them it's a bad idea -- he's laughed off, they go ahead anyway, and he's proven right in the end (and, fortunately, knows how to save the world.)

In any case, the LHC is scheduled for its first major test on September 10th and its first major collisions on October 21.

Perhaps it's time to grab a sandwich board? Then again...

I don't remember giving you any doctorly advice apart from buddy-taping the toe (which you ignored, if I recall correctly.)

Still, not sure I'd recommend a complete forefoot amputation just yet.

aw man, Paras... when I took off my sock and showed you my foot at the gym it didn't look bad at all. But now that I'm at home it's all swollen and a very dark purple colour. It doesn't look too good, haha. Your doctorly ways failed me. I think I'm gonna look into amputation tomorrow morning. I find my toes get in the way of things a lot and tend to get stubbed which is really just unpleasant for everyone involved. I certainly won't miss them!
