No, I am me. Me is I. I played basketball against Clarky, in the days of sideburns.

I didn't know you knew Clark in elementary. Unless you are someone else, and I'm assuming you are someone you aren't.

I'm not sure if it's Tegan, or if it's Sara, but one of them ripped off Eric Clark's look from elementary school for their new video. (White shirt.)

This is, as they say on the internets, teh awesome: Moffat named Doctor Who supremo:

Scriptwriter Steven Moffat was today named lead writer and executive producer on hit BBC1 drama Doctor Who.
...
The appointment makes Moffat Doctor Who's showrunner - the key creative force behind the programme - on the fifth series, which will be broadcast on BBC1 in 2010.

Moffat, of course, wrote my favorite episodes from the past two seasons -- The Girl in the Fireplace and Blink -- as well as the absolutely fantastic miniseries Jekyll (which, if you haven't watched, you really need to borrow from me yesterday.) He has a two-parter coming up this season which has high expectations (which is to say, I expect much of it; I don't know if there are generally high expectations, but there ought to be...)

Does anyone know the rules for getting a telemarketer to remove your number from their list? It seems counterintuitive for them to ask me for more personal information (email address, etc.) to remove my number from the list. (Of course, it also seemed counterintuitive that he would ask me to refer friends and relatives after I had insisted to have my number removed from the list...)

I can't believe I just realised this, but Al and I are going to be in Croatia in time for the Euro 2008 tournament. Things could get a little CRRAAAAZZYY!!

And I concur, that "Hardball" clip was awesome.

That Hardball clip is one of the most enjoyable things I've seen in a long time. Three cheers for grade 11 social studies.

Since it's the long weekend and many of you haven't seen each other in a while... who wants to have a "Because we haven't seen each other in a while party"?

Scary day. I agree with Lorne Gunter. Especially this bit:

In last month's budget there was not a word or even a hint this change was coming. Instead, the budget was full of talk about working with regional health authorities, delivering service through the authorities, strengthening their "governance and leadership" and "the performance, financial management, cost control and reporting structures of health authorities."

There was nothing about a super board coming in three weeks, which leads me to believe this decision is just another in a long line of slap-dash, seat-of-the-pants, last-minute, back-of-the-envelope pronouncements made by this government.

I hope I'm wrong, but this moves looks as if it will produce no improvements in patient care and could well lead to needless duplication of expenditure between the new board and the Health and Wellness Department, as well as between the central planners and the regions.
