oh, and just for the record, a head CT is the lowest dose of radiation of all CT scans...

an abdomen ct is 53 times more powerful than a chest x-ray, and a cardiac ct starts off at 67 times more powerful and continues to increase in radiation levels from there...

Wikipedia is such an interesting tool...

oh! and another ct fact, EMI (the record label) produced the first CT machines, and it's all courtesy of the Beatles' royalties. Go John, Paul, George and Ringo!

okay, doing this before I forget:

Persepolis, Princess II 7:15pm Thursday 21 February.
Come one, come all... should be a good show if the graphic novel was any indication. It's a French cartoon about an Iranian girl growing up during the Islamic Revolution (or repression) of the late 70s/80s.

If this doesn't work, just let me know (particularly Tony and Jess).

I figured early show 'cause we can hang out and discuss it afterwards if we want, and if not, it's still not a brutal time to get home for work the next day.

true, but one must absorb some of it, it doesn't all just go straight through... does it?

There is a difference between exposure to radiation and emission of radiation.

That said, it's not as though we give people a whole tonne of CT scans on a regular basis.

So...

The Princess is playing two movies I REALLY want to see right now...

If anyone is interested in joining me in the next week-ish, they are encouraged to say something soon.

The movies are:
I'm Not There about Bob Dylan
and
Persepolis Hint, hint, Jess! (if you haven't had enough of me already, that is)

I wish more people would follow that train of thought. All the music I've downloaded I have subsequently gone out and bought the actual album. It's just unfortunate that people take the try-before-you process a litle too far and don't pay for their appreciation of your work. They just outright take what they want and after saying they didn't enjoy it they don't delete it.

As for torrent I can see that being a problem for people who don't have a torrent application or for real rare stuff. Unfortunately that means most of the music I download has to be found other ways.
