Wilco is coming to town on august 18th. though I have a certain wedding to go to that day. so I was thinking of heading to calgary on the 17th for the show there. unless I've forgotten about some part of the wedding that night(friday) I was hoping to find a way to do both. if anyone is possibly interested in finding a way to make this work, you know how to find me. either that or Jere put me in charge of making Wilco come to castor instead

When the Oilers decide that a free agent defenceman is too expensive to sign this off-season, you can blame the Philadelphia Flyers, at least in part. They traded the first round pick they acquired in the Forsberg trade to the Predators for the rights to Scott Hartnell and Kimmo Timonen, then signed both to long term contracts.

So, the bar has been set: $6.3 million for top-2 defenseman. Now you know that Sheldon Souray's gonna get a huge payday, and, as if he didn't have enough good news, Brian Burke's probably pinching himself, what with the price he's paying Pronger for three more years.

(EDIT: Oh yeah, and, lest I be the one to break the chain, the Flyers kersuck.)
