Alright big brother is obviously watching what I type down and where I go. I just didn't know they had some betting pool on where we go and how many times we go there. Now I'm paranoid as heck.

I've told a few people about This American Life and recommended the subscribing to their podcast. It really is quite exceptionally produced radio.

Recently, they won a Peabody for a broadcast about Guantanamo Bay prisoners. (Basically, they thought outside the box and went and interviewed released prisoners.)

They recently rebroadcast that episode, and it's up on their website. I'm only partway through, but I recommend giving it a taste. It's certainly material that is strangely absent from any public discourse, and worth getting a bit of perspective on. (Doubtless, it's worth an hour of your otherwise unused bus/driving time.)

No Al, you're right, but maybe not destroy all humanity.

I suggest:

I saw a documentary where the the creatures were not only easy to make, they had a voracious appetite for humans. The key to controlling them was to make all of the creatures female - thus no breeding!

Society would be fine. Life would be kinda like this. Or considering that we're working at destroying the environment, it would be more like this.

Computer Monster

Apparently, this ran on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1967 with the title "Coffee Break Machine". I like all the pseudo-technobabble that the machine spouts as the proto-Cookie Monster tears into it.

Because like most politicians she uses fearmongering to get her point across. And why does everything have to be politics mixed with faith? Can't she just accept that humans are the virus destroying this world and live with that? The only real solution is to destroy all humanity to prevent any more unnatural influences to this planet... um... forget I just said that.

because the more politician-like a person becomes, the less appealing they are.

Borrowing a quote she said was made by a foreign dignitary about Prime Minister Stephen Harper, May said his stance on climate change "represents a grievance worse than Neville Chamberlain's appeasement of the Nazis."
I'm a little behind on this one, but why does everything I read about Elizabeth May make me like her less and less?
