Well, CTV just spent a full minute of their half-hour newscast -- the middle of the newscast, not the end-of-show filler -- on a cat-in-a-tree story.
Not a story in the genre of cats in trees. Literally, there was a cat in a tree, rescued by firefighters.
Unbelievable.

TED: Ideas Worth Spreading
TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds. Since then its scope has become ever broader.
The annual conference now brings together the world's most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes).
The Paradox of Choice was fun.
