- So yes, Welcome back Jeremy, if you are indeed back, and if you are indeed Jeremy... who can really tell anyway? But onto more pressing issues: Weezers new DVD, a stroke of genius, which is good, because plain old ordinary strokes are bad... Back to the DVD, or the Weezer Video Capture Device: Treasures From the Vault 1991-2002
All the videos, plus live footage, footage from recording session shenanigans, and best of all, no Deer Shit to speak of... So yeah... Rawk on, and if it's too loud, Turn it down. Also remember, when cornered by mexican bathroom gnomes, toilet bowl cleaner makes an effective and deadly defensive weapon...

- Well this is my first post in a long time... Well I watched Lion vs Tiger and the lion won. Don't worry Alison no animals were hurt in the testing of this contest between these two beast. They apparently put the animal physical data in some computer program and let it run to see who would win. Meh it could of been worse.
Eric about Versus, its not really one of those movies you watch for story. Like Ichi the Killer, Kunoichi, Alive and Murakami, there all just blood splattering, killing movies. If that type of movie is not entertaining for you then thats okay. I'd have to admit that the storyline is very weak and almost non-exsistent. Ryuhei Kitamura is known for his cinematography not his script writing. His cinemotagrophy also might not appeal to you either, it exist in the realm of hyperkinetic japanese wire-fu. Compared to some movies say Matrix the choreography is less clean and polished. I have to admit I am somewhat of a fanboy for these killing movies with imporable fighting and choreography. I don't really know what to say about increasing your interest in watching the rest of the movie. I guess I have watched enough of these lame storyline, any excuse for wire-fu violence movies to find them enjoyable. Well Eric, I suppose you could talk to me one of these days after all my hellish finals are all done and I could try to fill in whatever storyline Versus does have. I don't think it will help much though...
Welcome back Jere!... if you are back...
Those pitiful robots are nothing when compared to the powerful might of... Shin Getter Robo... What you thought I was going to say Gundams?... Back to studying...

- WTF? :p
well, uh, thanks Par, you goof
the site on Geneva was, um, really informative
the terrorism training will have to wait until after exams
and...planned parenthood? thanks so much
but as for the 'money growing on trees'... you can't eat them, they're poisonous
sure you can get gold out of them... but the arsenic
and the destruction of the soil that also occurs...
you can't grow anything else there afterwards, and it's all poisoned
and for the one other site I feel like commenting on:
the americans have some really bizarre ideas of preventative measures
all those kids who've been suspended for carrying aspirin, advil, tylenol and insulin are going to grow up embittered and ill-educated because of their poor treatment by the education institutions

- Alison, it seems you may need access to this helpful document (thank you, CIA.)
And, maybe this one.
But most assuredly, this one. (That last one is, by far, the most important.)
Money does So grow on trees
Rejected Transformer
Jesus Downsized
Zero Tolerance = Zero Thinking
Malkovich to play Humma Kavula in the upcoming Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy flick (Don't worry if you don't know who this character is, Adams created him specifically for the movie.)

and no, I am definitely not pregnant (as per the initial and ongoing assumption of my "secret"), if I was, I'd be even more despondent. Aside from the not ready for that sort of responsibility (I'm having problems with the idea of a 12 month job... not to mention a minimum 20 year parenting career), I can't imagine willfully subjecting anyone to all the mess and horrors in the world today.

- okay... here's an idea:
why don't we kidnap all the world leaders, industry executives, etc. who've got us into this mess, whether pollution, destruction, war, terrorism, poverty, or any other "social ill" that's slowly destroying us, and teach them a lesson. Or maybe just replace them, and forever keep them hostage until things return to more acceptable status. Sure, war cannot be entirely removed, nor tolerance entirely enstated, but we could find some happy medium, some means of appeasement or compromise. And sure, we may not be able to remove our dependence on oil immediately, but at least we could make small steps towards that change, anything would be better than this shit we're in now.
oh, and a quick fact from the article I posted:
Canada uses more energy than the entire continent of Africa every day.
sure you can argue, we're colder, we make more money... but all of Africa? there are millions upon millions of people there, where do we get off thinking we can do this and get away with it?

- arghh!
so, anyone else here ever have a day where all they want to do is scream?
yup? thought so.
not that I'm going to get into the gory details of everything,
but it really seems to me that when it rains, it pours
So, i have two more exams... nothing to get upset about, I know
but I also have to finish changing over the exec
the club may not have the money it needs in the bank to pay the bills
someone (me) has to talk to the banquet hall owner who stiffed us on grad
and my new job starts when?
I'm not ready for this. I don't have the first clue what I have to do
nor how to do it. Why did they hire me?
plus there are all these other pressures on me right now
I feel like bursting.
and to top it off, I went to the book sale yesterday. good deals. I bought probably 20 items for $8 and I carried them around in a box thru the sale and on the way home, for probably a total of 2 hours. Hence, my arms hurt, and my dad started to go on this tirade about me needing exercise. two hours. I'll bet his arms would hurt if he held a box full of books for 2 hours. Yes, I need exercise, but so what? I don't have time right now, I didn't during school either, and i do walk a fair distance anyway. Just because he started going to the gym... at least I don't secretly smoke.
fuck. apparently I can't do anything right. I skipped out (with parental permission) on the anniversary dinner and I studied, and slept (which apparently I really needed). What's more important? a party at which mostly adults and little kids with no babysitters go, or the end of my BSc?
so yeah, enough about me...
then there's all the other shit going on in the world...
i love how this board bounces from the inane to the highly politicized to everything in between.
There are some scary stories out there right now... actually, all the time. It goes from scary hostage situations... hooray on Fadi Fadel's release... to letters in the paper to show how little people actually value children (huh? what about the future? - not so much scary as disturbing). And this one especially should interest us as Canadians: Does the Great White North deserve its green reputation? which literally shows what a shitty job Canada is doing. Again, what about the future? or do people even care? fuck!
and now back to studying

Like it or not, Hamas is the only hope now for Palestine. Anyone who thinks a Kerry victory over Bush (highly unlikely if recent polls are any indication) is going to change anything, they're dead wrong. One thing Bush has going for him is honesty. The fucking Democrats have long been fierce supporters of Israel (although they won't tell you this). Any way you look at it, the Palestinians are fucked. And the murder of Zionist pricks, however tragic, at least evens the score, which is the best that can possibly be hoped for, at least as long as the United States is a superpower.
