Comming off of two giant wins, our home team heros were riding a wave of success unrivaled at any point during the season. Positive on the outlook of this next game, our team was forgiving of their skips almost tragic absence from the last game. The evenings competition was a team that our heros had dismantled during the pre-season and were even short a player at game time. But alas such an outcome would not happen again as the first end proved to be laced with a hostility carried over from that pre-season match. The two teams crawled out of the first end with our home team just barely managing two points. From that point on though our hero's struggled to manage any points at all. The game was marred by continous fights mid-ice between shots, and several furious encounters near the hack, leaving the ice stained red with blood. The most damning evidence of the games fateful downhill spiral to a lose would be the skips inability to perform. The teams percentages were exceptionally high for the lead at 75% while the second and third managed an honest 60%-65%, it was the skip though that seemed to let the team down with a 16% shot percentage. The game ended with a valiant effort by our team to tie the game for the final end but fell short with the skip failing again to make her shots. And while lady luck did seem to be on the side of the opponents for several key shots, she made no appearances for our heros through-out the game. The 5-4 lose left a sad, disheartened, agrivated and disappointed team shaken and asking questions about the future...
