"whatever genre Massive Attack can be considered"

    wha-?!!

Downtempo, abstract beats, ambient, acid-jazz, lounge, dub, funk, hip-hop, post-acid house; take your pick kuz either way they've used them all to become the motherfuckin undisputed pioneers of TRIP-HOP.

Those brits in Bristol stole yer soul. If it weren't for those kids you'd never have heard of Portishead, Morcheeba, Esthero, Lamb, Thievery Corporation, Tricky (of course), Groove Armada, Kruder & Dorfmeister, UNKLE, Wagon Christ, Sneaker Pimps, Cibo Matto, and a whole slew of others including all the other trip-hop acts you listen to. You owe them.

    Respect it.

And by-the-by, before I fly, get'cherself the new LAMB disc for some optimal nouveau downtempo orche-ma-strations.

    just checking out links,

I visited Musicplasma... pretty cool, I must say, perhaps it'll help me find new bands...
but I typed in Audioslave (being 3/4 RATM) and nowhere on the screen did it cite Rage Against the Machine as even closely related.
Actually, RATM was nowhere on the screen at all.
    Though Zwan was.
Even more interesting, Coldplay and David Gray are more closely linked to Audioslave than Led Zeppelin and the Who.
I wouldn't have guessed that at all.

Interesting idea though. Apparently my tastes in whatever genre Massive Attack can be considered all are quite similar...
seeing as I have some of the other bands already...
so part learn more new bands you probably will like based on your tastes, and part see how predictable your tastes already are.
