One year huh?
I'm not worried, Genescort will be up and running before any complete world-wide ban is initiated. The UN thing just shows that 192 countries really can't agree on anything other than at least one years procrastination. One year from now I don't expect they will be able to agree on anything more than that, and it'll probably get pushed back again while they set up a billion dollar committee to decide whether they should organize a committee to do a 20yr study on the socio-economic impact of human cloning and stem cell research.
Bottom line - Genescort will prevail!

As far as freedom of speech on the message board... it is my opinion that this message board is the sole property of Paras (and the University) and that it is through his grace and generosity that he allows us to post here. If Paras decides to censor, edit, or delete the posts that any or all of us make, it is his prerogative. I would see it as mere courtesy that we use enough discretion so that we do not force Paras into the "moderator" position. Not only is it a waste of (y)our time posting just to have it deleted, it is also annoying and time consuming for Paras.

So go fuck yourselves, that is all I have to say :)

Adrian, I have to agree with you and share your position with regards to the message board and it's current state. As of late there have been few, if any posted messages worthy of reading. As for the rants, I am guilty of this once, but I was becoming, and still am, disgusted with the content.

Paras, I thank you for moderating the comments, thus removing the annoying comments posted by our unidentified and unwelcome guest.

As for "nobody knows my face" I have found most, if not all of your posts to be derogatory, belittling, demeaning, annoying, insulting, inappropriate and childish. As for what pissed me off, see the list of descriptors. Two words: Grow up.

Maybe I have less patience than everyone else, but I have to say this. I am quickly becoming sickened by this message board. If some order or at least an end to stupid time wasting comments isn't found soon, I will be taking my limited time elsewhere. I understand that some of you have exams, but truly, shouldn't you be looking up porn instead of ranting on the message board?? For a "message board" there are truly not very many messages ever given. Consider this a warning of my intentions.

A couple more things. First of all, it appears Jere is in the news... sort of. His work is in the news. Something about thumbing their noses at the EPA (sounds like something Jere would do.)

Also, a bizarre ruling here about file-sharing. The Copyright Board of Canada made a ruling regarding MP3 players and file sharing. "[They] imposed a government fee of as much as $25 on iPod-like MP3 players," which means if you want one without paying Canadian recording artists, you should get one soon. Also, they said, rather enigmatically, that it's legal to download, but illegal to upload music. (A bit like the tobacco legislation that made it illegal to sell to minors, but legal for minors to buy.) Needless to say, "Copyright holders" aren't pleased. Interestingly enough, though, many are disappointed that we don't have an act in place like the American DMCA.

Finally, Beck, you have a One-year window to get Genescort up and running. That's how long the UN put off the debate on human cloning. Good luck!

Oh yeah, Eric, I wouldn't say that this board is pseudo-Fark.com. More like pseudo-Slashdot.org, with less tech-y posts.
