The hERG gene was first named and described in a paper by Jeff Warmke and Barry Ganetzky, then both at the University of Wisconsin.[16] The hERG gene is the human homolog of the Ether-Ã -go-go gene found in the Drosophila fly; Ether-Ã -go-go was named in the 1960s by William D. Kaplan, now at the City of Hope Hospital in Duarte, California. When flies with mutations in the Ether-Ã -go-go gene are anaesthetised with ether, their legs start to shake, like the dancing then popular at the Whisky A Go-Go nightclub in West Hollywood, California.

That's an awesome animation. I like how you disappear and then come back with a mini-vengeance.

A neat video visualization of the Elgg github repo evolution of the last few years. It's kind of fascinating to see the restructuring happen via death ray. I'm in there too, I just kind of float around a bit looking lost :)

So, uh, apropos of the Leia-Chewwie photo, apparently George Lucas and whoever else was involved in the costuming decided that "there's no underwear in space" for the original three Star Wars... Go figure.
