Congrats on the new job Jesse - sounds like you're much more excited about this than the bridge-building.
The dog was called Puppy by the people who were taking care of him, so they suggested Guppy to me - but I'm not sure I like that. He doesn't really recognize either anyways.... so, I dunno. Also, he's really hard to take pictures of.

happy b'day Keri,
congrats on the pup Jess,
working 5 mins from Lake Louise Kicks Ass if anyone was wondering. just thought I'd share that on my 15 minutes of hotel lobby internet access for a steal of a deal at only $2. It looks like I'll have 2 weeks of work before my first day off, but as of right now, I really don't mind. ciao fo niao

Congrats, Jess. I notice a lot of pronouns, though. Any word on a name?

Jess got a new dog!!
I think he's a cross between this:
and this (only not so fluffy):
He's 18 months old, about 20" tall, and super-cute. Very friendly and easy-going, and apparently he lived a while on a farm with cows, which he got along with, so I'm hoping that will translate easily into getting along with horses. When he wakes up I'll take a picture of him.
Oh, he woke up

oh, for Pete's sake, I forgot all about the hockey game... and now I can't go. meh, oh well. y'all have fun now, you hear?
And as for the whole university friendlessness thing... I've just sort-of accepted it and migrated inot the lab in my time off... but theoretically I'm 'working' when I'm not in class, for 36 hours a week... plus the 9 I'm spending on the class I'm ta-ing...
Though, regardless of all that, we should find time to hang out, us campus-dwellers. let's hang out! ... whenever those of us left have time...

They just think they're better than us, Mary, by having moved on. A preposterous notion, I know.
Speaking of university and things happening at it, the Bears/Oilers-Rookies game is tomorrow night at 7:00. Seeing as it's general seating, I intend to get there a little bit early. If you'd like me to save a seat, let me know. If you'd like to grab a bite to eat with me before the game (but after 5:00) also let me know.

Happy Birthday Keri!
On another note....why oh why are there no longer hordes of friends with which to spend your three hour break at University? if anyone has any ideas of what to do, I anticipate that I will be spending the next hour or so sitting at this computer. so...suggest away!
