It turns out I am not going up north to build a bridge after all. I'm going somewhere much much better, though I suppose I should learn some aussie. thats right, little australia is where I am headed. more commonly known as banff. this makes me so much happier than heading to some small town north of here. I can climb, hike, and you know, not see flat ground everywhere. I may end up having a hotel room to myself, so that means some people might have a place to stay if they want... but that is getting ahead of myself. I head off monday, and I should have a computer, and we'll see if internet is available. when I get back, I may try this party thing again, with more than, you know, 20 hours notice for the people invited. ahh well. a good time was had by all. ciao for niao

They should be called "THE ULTIMATE WARRIORS"!!!!!

They have a contest, of sorts, here. Ostensibly, it's a "name that team" contest, but they already have a bunch of options, so it's a "pick the team name" kind of thing.

One year from now, local hockey fans will be anxiously awaiting the inaugural season of Edmonton's newest professional sports franchise, which will compete in the Western Hockey League. As preparations continue in launching the team, fans are being asked to have their say in naming the team.

It is confirmed, we return on the 28th of this month.

typical last minute planning buy yours truly. still not totally sure what is going down. but I will either be having people over tomorrow night, or heading out to a watering hole for a fare thee well sorta night. maybe I'll just see how many people I can cram into my tiny appartment. so tomorrow night give me a shout 218-5373 and then stop by at my garneau towers box of luxury. 111st and 85 ave, room 1601. we'll say 7 ish.
