VUE Weekly review of Power of Sedak(a)sean

It must have something to do with being so far north or the magnetic field or the clay in our soil, but Edmonton produces some really funny people. Writer-Director Matthew Lisac upholds a proud comedic tradition with his schlemiel Sean Sedaka, relationship counselor extraordinaire, with all the charm of a Jon Lovitz character and poise of a 14-year-old trying to get to first base. There’s really clever and funny use of Powerpoint slides to complement the action. If only every board meeting could have a Stormtrooper humping the air in a parking lot. 3.5/5 A

They are recategorizing all the major planetoids in our solar system. Apparently they are debating about classifying 3 other planetoids as planets now. But yeah it is official Pluto is not a planet.

Yeah, I heard that Pluto lost it's status on the BBC. I for one am happy about it. It means that the Titius-Bode law can remain uncontested.

I remember reading about that law when I was in jr. high in an old university textbook of my dad's. I always thought to myself that the reason Pluto doesn't match up with that law is because IT'S NOT A PLANET.

Check out how accurate the distances are for the rule for EVERY OTHER PLANET except motherfuckin pluto:

Planet, k, T-B rule distance, Real distance
Mercury, 0, 0.4, 0.39
Venus, 1, 0.7, 0.72
Earth, 2, 1.0, 1.00
Mars, 4, 1.6, 1.52
(Asteroid Belt), 8, 2.8, 2.77
Jupiter, 16, 5.2, 5.20
Saturn, 32, 10.0, 9.54
Uranus, 64, 19.6, 19.2
Neptune, 128, 38.8, 30.06
Pluto, 256, 77.2, 39.44

SEE?? PLUTO IS NOT A PLANET, AND I HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR FUCKIN YEARS.

TODAY I HAVE BEEN JUSTIFIED!!!!

However, Ceres did not meet their criteria for becoming a planet (again... it ONCE was a planet a long time ago before they started calling it an asteroid), but IT IS a fuckin planet. Look at the Titius-Bode Law: it predicts the Asteroid Belt. Now, either the asteroid belt is the smashed remnants of a prior planet... OR, Ceres, which is a ROUND object that comprises over 1/3rd the ENTIRE mass of the asteroid belt, IS that planet!

Man, fuck these astronomers. They don't know shit. Titius knew it all along. At least today they finally got the Pluto thing right.

Also, I always wondered if the further orbiting bodies beyond pluto could line up with the Titius-Bode law? I should try and figure that out. I might become a famous astronomer if I do... hahaha.

I did meet up with P later that night. We hung out at Brewsters so that night wasn't a total washout.

Wednesday was pretty much my only free night. Sister is going away soon so these last couple days are pretty much going to be spent at home. Saturday is my last Ultimate game so got to rest up for that.
