Nice one Alison! That's definitely my #1 for silliest pose.

Speaking of Stoll (all right, well, not so much "speaking of" as "mentioned a few posts back"), he seems to be doing, uh, well for himself?

Picking up supermodel Rachel Hunter (Rod Stewart's ex-wife) at the International Airport on Tuesday, according to credible eyewitnesses, was Oiler Jarret Stoll.

She'd be older than 23-year-old Jarret, given she graced the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition cover in 1989.

obviously this one wins for most idiotic pose...

haha, i have a new favourite Oiler to add to my list (along with Stoll, Horcoff and Murray): Todd Harvey.

From the Edmonton Journal:
"Go home and wreck your own house," said outspoken Oilers forward Todd Harvey. "There's no need for that crap. Why break store windows? Why push over telephone booths? Why start fires?"

There are no answers for those questions.

"What the hell is wrong with these people?" continued Harvey, who is genuinely incensed by the Whyte Avenue vandalism being perpetrated in the name of playoff hockey celebrations.

"The police have been great about it. I love it that they're catching these morons on tape. I hope they round 'em up. It's disgraceful. It's giving the city a bad name. It puts a black mark on the fans who are there to celebrate the right way. It's got to stop or somebody is going to die or get seriously hurt."

..."They have got to start taking responsibility for their actions. Any time I screwed up I took responsibility. They can blame it on the booze all they want, but it's the people themselves. I've gotten drunk and never burned anything."

...Harvey has kids, though they are very young. But if any one of them pulled a stupid stunt like the ones making the news all over North America, he'd give them a spanking.

"And I don't care how old they were."

So you got that, shopping-cart boy? Stay at home on game night. Break your own windows.

Covered in Oil refers to them as "dinkwallets". I'll let you make your own judgement, but the police have released a gallery of Whyte Ave "persons of interest". One wonders whether, slightly below recognizability, one of the criteria for choosing the pictures was how embarrassing the pose in the photo was:

(One also wonders about the correlation between drunken idiocy and brainless tees from San Francisco (the hawkers of verifiable crap, not the city in California.))
