Tay ask that chick out already. Or you'll end up like me, stuck in limbo/purgatory, and confused at hell at what to do.

Just do it man, take a chance.

As if I need more reasons to buy the new Macbook, they continue to pour in like manna fr... forget it, I'm not using that analogy. I refuse.

In any case, the thing with these computers is that the motion sensor for the hard drive (to stop it in case of a sudden fall) is available to the OS (and hence, to user-written software). This allows novel programs such as the MacSaber (which, of course, makes the lightsaber whoosh sound when you swing your computer) to be written.

For people like me that like multiple desktops, though, it allows cool stuff like this.

I have randomly discovered two new things to love today:

1. corn dogs smothered in nacho cheese and garlic mayonnaise; it's like poutine but possibly even better (and probably about as healthy)

2. the girl at the cash register/front desk of the Londonderry Recreational Centre who had the cute navy-blue with tiny white-dots outfit and a matching navy-blue headband with tiny white stripes which was actually a man's TIE!!! Holy fuck that is cute. You have no idea. It's like if-you-tell-me-to-rip-my-penis-off-with-my-own-bare-hands-and-fuck-myself-with-razorblades-in-the-resulting-wound-I-will-stop-everything-right-at-that-moment-and-do-it-just-because-you-asked-me-to cute. There just isn't words for it.

I sent them an e-mail about it, but I doubt anything will come of it... I was really only eligible for the ipod and they have this sneaky clause that says "until said date or until supplies run out..." which they don't tell you about when you sign up. And I found this "I hate telus" website and there's other people got fucked same way as me with no luck.

As they say... "up shit creek without a paddle".

Of course, there's a difference between squeaky wheel and whiny brat. Case in point, our gracious PM is taking his ball and going home:

Prime Minister Stephen Harper says he'll no longer give news conferences for the national media, after a dispute led a number of journalists to walk away from an event when he refused to take their questions.
...

Since becoming prime minister in January, Harper has had a testy relationship with the national media in Ottawa. His staff has tried to manage news conferences by saying they will decide which reporters get to ask questions.

The press gallery has refused to play by those rules. "We can't accept that the Prime Minister's Office would decide who gets to ask questions," Yves Malo, a TVA reporter and president of the press gallery, told CP on Tuesday. "Does that mean that when there's a crisis they'll only call upon journalists they expect softball questions from?"

On Tuesday about two dozen Ottawa reporters walked out on a Harper event when he refused to take their questions.

That led Harper to say that from now on he will speak only to local media.
The only thing that the Conservatives had going for them in my books was the accountability issue. Even if everything else was a wash (the environment, a useless GST cut, missile defense, giving in on softwood, etc.), after the election I hung my hat on the hope that at least they would need to be accountable and honest (if for no other reason than that was what they ran on.) I even had hope in spite of the hypocrisy of provincial Tories.

Well, fuck that, then.
