well i guess i was mistaken when i said that annonymous posts took the sucky-bitch cake. clearly posting as someone else, for example, as me, in fact takes the sucky-bitch cake.-with extra effing icing on it. congratulations, you win first place, you sucky-bitch! here's your prize, a big bag of dicks! you can suck on those to your little heart's content. and when you've had enough, you can put the rest in that little storage compartment of your vespa and ride home to tell mom and dad about it.

love eric

p.s. "can't beat the real thing" you sucky bitch.

so... while morbidly interesting, it's also really, um, sad to dig through my dead great-aunt's things. I just spent four hours doing exactly that... through dust and all... happy memories reduced to photos and commemorative plaques. The rest of her life: piles and piles of paper, dust-coated books and mountains of tchotchkes. We're still not sure if we've discovered a will or not... so there's no real idea what's going to happen to things. anyway, it's sad. but we're finding some really cool stuff... an old bank note from when Syria and Lebanon were 'one country,' A service medal for my uncle Bill, and family documents (like birth certificates and batpismal records) that actually prove my great grandparents came from Syria, and Bill's folks from Poland or somewhere...

oh, and this

a picture of my great-aunt Mary and me. I never actually knew her.

But, regardless, it's so surprising, and sad... to see that my aunt Faye (Fawzia, really) had this beautiful, joyous life, and her last years were so solitary and miserable.. and full of collections of everything, including all the bills that she'd ever paid since the mid-90's, plus a healthy helping of purchases from the 70's too. Please, may I never burden myself with so much paper...

in other news, though, the Goonies are on tv. this is awesome.

Exxon Chairman Gets $400 Million Retirement Package Amid Soaring Gas Prices:

Last year, Exxon made the biggest profit of any company ever, $36 billion, and its retiring chairman appears to be reaping the benefits.

Exxon is giving Lee Raymond one of the most generous retirement packages in history, nearly $400 million, including pension, stock options and other perks, such as a $1 million consulting deal, two years of home security, personal security, a car and driver, and use of a corporate jet for professional purposes.

The best quote, though, comes from his testimony in front of US congressional hearings on oil prices, when he said that that prices were a result of supply and demand:
"We're all in this together, everywhere in the world," he testified.
I can't wait for my retirement bonus.

Never have I seen anything quite so clever as that last post. Using Eric's name and then pretending that he is insulting himself is above and beyond the intellectual standards previously set on this board. Bravo, sir. Clearly we are unworthy of your presence.

Bit of irreverant information which won't be much use but I'm bored.

Nissan Skyline GT-R: 9" longer then RSX
Chevrolet Corvette: 2" shorter then RSX
Subaru STI: 1" longer then RSX
Acura NSX: 2" longer then RSX

What does this all mean, absoultely nothing.
