so, Par, you too are mourning your lost childhood? ;)
I can't wait until a copy of Wump World is mine! It's making my next few days seem that much more bearable.... oh Bill Peet, what would I have done without you?
oh! And, in watching the Raccoons preview, I have discoverd yet another origin of my environmentalism... The Raccoons! Cyril Sneer was making money off of harvesting resources... and, well, the Raccoons wanted to preserve the forest... why did I watch/read so many things like that? And why did it make me become an environmentalist and not everyone else? hmm... Oh, and there's nothing to make you feel weirdly homesick yet nostalgic like watching the Raccoons dubbed in Spanish in a hotel in Granada... (amidst all the bull fighting shows and soap operas)

All the illegal voting in the world can't save my mech!
Well it was a good run but now it is over! The mono colour mech beat the shiny Valkarius! Still from 8th place to 4 th place, and only my third entry! Well thanks for the illegal votes! Next tourney!

Ed, you gotta link to the news about David Emerson defecting to the Conservatives from the Liberals for a cabinet post. I had to read the news to understand. How degrading.
I'm so glad the old debate about switching sides has been brought up again. (I somehow don't see any prominent Liberals calling him a man-whore, though.) I guess this is the ultimate hypothetical ("what if the MP switches parties right after an election?")
It seems like the epitome of political sleaze, but I still stand by the notion that you voted for a person who happened to represent a party, not the other way around. Besides, it keeps James Rajotte out of cabinet, so I'm not entirely displeased.
On another note, I am glad Doris Stockwell Day was made Minister of Public Safety. You'll note that he did remember his life jacket:

Count on the guys at Covered in Oil for the quality similes, such as when describing Pavel Datsyuk:
"Datsyuk scores like Mark Messier at Barry T's circa 1985."

So, Global's got a new logo. While some people liken it to a "drunken checkmark", I think they may be infringing on this website's mindbogglingly successful logo. They're on notice.
