nope, Eric, I didn't go. I forgot all about it until I got home. I don't know how I forgot, but well, that's the way it goes... I sure hope Mr. Schmeiser scared enough people into action though. maybe we'll get another chance to see him soon. I guess this is what he does now - travel around talking... seeing as he needs some way to pay back his legal fees, and i'm sure Monsanto's sucked all the farming energy out of him...

anyway, enough bitterness. it's Friday! I discovered there actually is a desk reserved for me (with a piece of paper stuck to it saying exactly that) in the grad student office. woo hoo! suggests i'm on my way in...

I think I might head down to rabbit hill or snow valley for a couple hours tonight if anyone is up for some of that skiin/boardin action. I know the snowvalley is $7 anytime after 5 tonight, so I will probably head over there. If anyone is interested, give me a shout here or wherever you think I can be found. ciao

so, I spent all day grinding chunks of wood into flour... how was your day?

This new job, although giving me the handy title of Research Assistant, and paying me more than I've ever gotten before (oh to belong to NASA for more than seven months!), is a little lacking on the content side right now. I'm only two days in, of course. And the job seems like it'll be varied enough, though somewhat menial, which will only, in the end, leave me wishing I'd stuck with it after I become a full-fledged grad student and take both an increase in stress and a pay cut. meh... at least I'll be up in High Level then. woo hoo!
