That's awesome Par, it sorta reminds me of one of my favourite music videos. *Warning* It's kinda NSFW, but mostly in a "your co-workers won't respect you ever again if they see you watching it" kind of way.

Maybe homeopathic gunpowder is the answer to the whole US gun control thing? Sure everyone and their dog can carry loaded guns around, but they all have to use homeopathic gunpowder in the bullets!

The Long List of Absurd – Health Canada Approved – Homeopathic Medicines:

4. Carcinosinum – Homeopathic cancer. No particular type specified. NPN 80022612.
14. Ova Tosta – Roasted egg shells. My guess is that these are chicken eggs. NPN 80019832.
16. X-Ray – Sugar pills exposed to x-rays, then serially diluted. DIN-HM 80029649.
21. Gunpowder Pellets – Homeopathic gunpowder. Not for use in guns. NPN 80017147.
22. Oxygenium – Homeopathic oxygen. So many questions. Don’t blank sugar pills already have this included? How do you keep the original oxygen from being inhaled or floating away? NPN 80009300.
The mandate of Health Canada is to approve these products when they are shown to be safe and effective. I don't quibble with 'safe' (what harm can nothing do?) but the bar for 'effective' must be particularly low.

Oh, science:

The hERG gene was first named and described in a paper by Jeff Warmke and Barry Ganetzky, then both at the University of Wisconsin.[16] The hERG gene is the human homolog of the Ether-à-go-go gene found in the Drosophila fly; Ether-à-go-go was named in the 1960s by William D. Kaplan, now at the City of Hope Hospital in Duarte, California. When flies with mutations in the Ether-à-go-go gene are anaesthetised with ether, their legs start to shake, like the dancing then popular at the Whisky A Go-Go nightclub in West Hollywood, California.

GeoGuesser. You're not going to sleep now.

While you're not sleeping, though, you can listen to this:

That's an awesome animation. I like how you disappear and then come back with a mini-vengeance.

A neat video visualization of the Elgg github repo evolution of the last few years. It's kind of fascinating to see the restructuring happen via death ray. I'm in there too, I just kind of float around a bit looking lost :)
