I wouldn't resort to cannibalism to survive... not part of the Al code.

... um, btw, absolutely nothing religious about this video. It's more a muttered curse-word than a deity sighting.

um, wow, Par, I don't even want to know where/how you found that video. They rewarded those fools for endangering their lives??? What does it say about me that I think the worst part of that India Talent Show video is the fluorescent lights? All that mercury... scary. Actually, maybe that explains it. ... start with bashing fluorescent lights against your chest, move to eating them, and THEN escalate to being driven over by a car and having your friend drive a sledgehammer into your stomach. It all makes sense now. Mad as hatters.

In a much less personally-harming way, but still just as morally depraved, I stumbled upon a bizarre (brief) flash game: Resort to Cannibalism! Yes, it has the exclamation mark in it.

Well some of you might be wondering where are the mechs Al usually post once a month? For the last month I've foolishly figured I would design weapons for God Slave Ku so enjoy the fruits of my labour!

My favorite part of the money poster is when you get to the Trillions bit and the size of the derivatives and credit default swap markets. I'm almost through the Big Short by Michael Lewis and it's impossible to describe just how stupid, crazy and mindboggling the whole mess was. Every so often I stop reading and tell Nadeesha about some crazy thing going on, only to stop 10 pages later and describe something that's even more crazy than that.

And that part of the chart still absolutely dwarfs all the other money in the world. Incredible.

I didn't kill the board, did I?

Have you all checked out the latest xkcd infographic? It's mind-blowing. Half of it makes me too angry to read on and ready to go join the Occupy protesters, and the rest of it boggles me.

Sometimes I makes me grateful for long-term planning (hurricane forecasting vs hurricane damage-savings thanks to advanced warning technologies)

Sometimes it pisses me off

And then sometimes it is completely crazy: the annual agricultural value of bees (estimated) is $220, 000, 000, 000 INSANE! and bees are dying. Are we going to pay people to pollinate things with paintbrushes?

Or the fact that the US EPA has a price on human life ($8.4 million for one person's life).

Mind-boggling.
