I think you are interpeting that wrong, someone is thinking of getting a Triumph when he is ready for one, and if dealer support is there.

In response to your random question: not totally. Consider ultra-lights - they are comparatively cheap and easy to fly.

Also, somebody's decided to buy a Triumph, eh? Not that I didn't already know that...Never knew there was such a hooligan connection to them. Was that the favourite bike of the Mods' sworn enemy, the Rockers?

Also on the subject of being painted with the same brush again...

Sometimes the sins of the father do visit the son...

Guess who was a wild and crazy motorcycle riding hooligan when they were younger?

That's right my dad.

Random question:

Is flying a plane a pursuit only the rich can afford?

And speaking of being painted with the same brush, I've actually never been prejudged so badly then when I was telling people I was learning to ride a motorcycle. Not even being asian have I got the same treatment.

Not all bike riders are irresponsible dare devils. Riding is a privilege that must be earned not a right that is just given. So ride safe and ride legal.

Nope a motorcycle, more specifically my step up bike from the beginner motorcycle I'll be riding on to get seasoned.

I think it will come down to dealer support in the end. Honda has the best dealer support for their products but unfortunately I don't like any of their step up bikes at all. Unless they bring over a certain european only model then I might reconsider. But like I said probably at least a year away.

What are you debating buying a year out, Albert? Is this car talk?

In the end, painting an entire nation by their history is a little unfair (I think). I'd be like calling every Chinese person (coming from China) a communist, or every Mexican a drug smuggler. ... and every Canadian a fur trapper that killed the indigenous people. It's not appropriate to blame the grandsons and granddaughters for the sins of their grandparents, nor to paint them with the same brush.

Not all Canadian Liberal party members want a National Energy Policy like Trudeau. They didn't in the 1980's, and they don't now. Not all Alberta Progressive Conservatives want to privatize healthcare. Not all gay people are tolerant. Not all addicts are criminals. etc.

I'm getting philosophical. Sorry.

Well I think I want to go hooligan becasue cost wise it is cheaper all round then the German brand, for a similar product. Then again I think I'm getting ahead of myself since this purchase is probably at the least a year away.

That's pretty cool, Par. I like that Woofer has a minimum character requirement. ... not that anyone reads things any more, though. ... except books. I read books.

I keep forgetting that there are people out there who don't glaze over after the first three sentences. My boss is killing my ability to communicate.

And Albert: despite the not-so-cool aspects of both, the anarchist in me is thinking to lean towards the hooligans. BUT if it's any consolation, so much of what we have in our society already has some nazi tie, so I wouldn't get overly morally tied-up about it. (wow, I'm cynical and blasé today, sorry guys!) (I mean, like IBM, for instance... and CocaCola... definitely worked for the nazis)
