steve was a reformer before he became stephen the conservative. Coming from stockwell day, I wouldn't take it to mean too much. Stephen himself admitted that the conservatives are more right wing than most canadians.

Belated congratulations Par! May the exam news be good and the future a lot less costly! :)
In other news, that map you posted, although looking like Oilers Nation come to life, scares me a bit... The one, wee, tiny spot of orange in the sea of blue Alberta is awesome, but also sad, in that it's all alone.
... particularly after listening to Stockwell Day describe the Conservatives as a centrist party on the radio today.

I kind of figured that the Bloc would get totaled worked over this election.
I think Duceppe forgot one importatn thing about Quebecer: at the end of the day they are human.
And no human wants to live in constant fear day after day. While everyone was offering hope and a brighter future if we all worked together, he only offered fear and mistrust.
Anyways just my random observation of this election.

Guess who discovered awesomely delicious "gourmet doughnuts" today!
... that's right, Mary and I did. And anyone who comes to visit Calgary in the foreseeable future should go there instead of Peter's. It's money well-spent.
... granted, neither of us tried the maple-bacon doughnut...
