Who wouldn't want to hang out?
Anyways I'm free many days now since Capoeira class just got canned due to a poetry reading festival.
Just give me a ring.

I can lend you seasons 1 and 2. That's as far as I own, I've been stealing all the rest, but it gives you a fair taste of the zaniness. I'll bring them up for Easter, although I may have to watch a couple with my dad before I pass them on to you, Jess. I'm in town until Wednesday the 27th, now (yay meetings).
Anyone wanna hang out?

Did you buy the seasons, Alison? If you (or anyone else) have season one and would be willing to lend it to Matt and I (mostly me), I'd like to see what all the fuss is about.

I suppose this is, unfortunately, timely for the current discussion:
It is with much sadness that we can announce Elisabeth Sladen, the much-loved actress best known for her role as Sarah Jane Smith in Doctor Who and CBBC's The Sarah Jane Adventures, passed away this morning. She was 63.

And now I, too, am on the Doctor Who bandwagon. I got seasons 1-5 and the special episodes from a friend here in the residence and have finished watching nearly all of season 1 so far. Can't wait for the new season to begin.

Wait, so did David Tennant JUST finish being the Doctor, then? Or have you had a season of Matt Smith? This will be Matt Smith's Dr no. 11 (and Amy Pond's) second season with the BBC series. Looks like Space is at the same point in time as the BBC. They're starting in the desert this season... or will go there shortly in to this season...
Saturdays at 8. Perfect. Thanks Beck! I'm going to make my Dad watch it. He used to watch it back in the 80's, and I know I saw it, but all I remember of that is K-9 and some weird, old British dudes.

I thought we were a season behind here, but I just saw a commercial for the new season of Dr. Who on Space - Saturdays at 8.
[edit] - confirmed via my series recording set up on the DVR

Hey Beck (and all other Doctor fans), what channel does it play on? ... or does it? CBC's online info only goes to season 4-ish, with no mention of Matt Smith at all. Seeing as I only get my television through stealing things on the internet or by buying dvd box sets, I'm totally out of the loop in this regard. ... but it'll be Easter, and I don't feel right stealing tv on the internet at my parents' house, particularly if I can watch it on the REAL tv....
Oh, and... NEIL GAIMAN WROTE EPISODE 4 OF SEASON 6 I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
Info and a whole comic-con panel discussion with Neil Gaiman and other Dr Who-related people here. Gaiman's description starting at ~9:00 min is pretty cool.
... and, uh, speaking of David Tennant and Neil Gaiman, here's Neil Gaiman writing Hamlet's big "To be or not to be" soliloquy as spoken by Tennant's Dr Who:
"To be, or not to be, that is the question. Weeelll.... More of A question really. Not THE question. Because, well, I mean, there are billions and billions of questions out there, and well, when I say billions, I mean, when you add in the answers, not just the questions, weeelll, you're looking at numbers that are positively astronomical and... for that matter the other question is what you lot are doing on this planet in the first place, and er, did anyone try just pushing this little red button?"
