And what exactly led you to Ravelry, Percy?
It's like facebook for knitters, crocheters and yarn-spinners, only better. I love it! I've been a member there for, uh... three-ish years, maybe longer. They have free patterns, you can compare projects and yarns, AND it's connected me with the knitting community in Calgary. Social networking has led to some bizarre things for me, but I'm particularly enjoying knitting in the Ship & Anchor bar with a bunch of random ladies. We have far too much fun.
