Yeah what the dillio with paying at the pump? Especially when it's minus 29 outside the readers actually stop working.

I'm getting very tired of gas stations implementing a "must pay at the pump policy". This is Edmonton, I don't want to be standing outside in the cold wind trying to get some piece of shit machine to read my card. I already have to stand there long enough pumping the gas as it is.

Plus there's always the security issues with having card readers standing out there unattended.

Plus, if I'm paying at the pump there's no way I'm going to go into the store and impulse buy anything. In fact this morning I even wanted something, but the inconvenience of having to go into the store after I'd already paid for the gas I'd pumped was the deciding factor.

Yep pretty suprising that the team at Microsoft have such large code bloat for a browser. I'm wondering if they get paid for lines of codes and not the results of the finished product.

I think this would make sense.

Like the American citizens today IE6's child and grandchild are getting bigger. What's with all the code bloat? Can't anyone make a web browser that is smaller then 100 megs anymore?

That comic strip totally reminds me of Moon, which I absolutely recommend you rent if you haven't seen. It is SO BLEAK but so amazing. It's one of those sci-fi movies that made me think "So this is where our society is heading. We're fucked." ... but it was so damn good, too.
