So much for the madness...

That (Fernando) Torres goal just bled the life out of Germany. Except for that brief comeback when Kuranyi came on, it was over by the half.

Though I did hear a few celebrations on the street nonetheless.

Ugh... I hated hearing CBC commentators using the nickname "Lubee", but I guess I'll be hearing it a whole lot more. Looks like Lubee is an Oiler.

I am now in Munich for the big final. It got totally stupid in Rijeka for Croatia's quarter-final. I can just imagine what this will be like. And I couldn't believe how totally Spain just sliced apart the Russians. I think this will be an entertaining match.

Oh yes, and everyone keep July 5 open. (That's the Saturday after I get back.) I think we all should go out and get our drink on for Birthday Week. Or just because it's Saturday.

This is fun stuff. A 2003 email from Bill Gates about his experiences downloading Windows Moviemaker:

Then it told me to reboot my machine. Why should I do that? I reboot every night -- why should I reboot at that time?

So I did the reboot because it INSISTED on it. Of course that meant completely getting rid of all my Outlook state.

So I got back up and running and went to Windows Update again. I forgot why I was in Windows Update at all since all I wanted was to get Moviemaker.

Read the whole email. It's great.
