Couldn't really set something up this year. Oh well.

So, not that you can go to the website and find these (damned restricted access and pay-accounts!), but The Chronicle of Higher Education is having a contest, on the backs of envelopes. This is not just any contest, but is, in fact, a design contest for the George W Bush Presidential Library. Check these entries out, it gives me faith in humanity once again, I have to say!

This is pretty cool: Al Jaffee's fold-ins for Mad magazine, from the 1960s to the present, in interactive form.

"Hung gar short knife set" is a semi-old chinese knife fighting form. Not to be confused with "Hurricane saber" which is a "long knife" (ie: Broadsword) form. Considering it is 2 sided I probally couldn't use it for the short knife set.

Hmm, I suppose Albert's is the most sensible dagger suggestion (the, uh, police station one. I'm not sure what the "Hung Gar" thing is about.), given this city's propensity for finding people with sharp objects accidentally stuck in them.

Still one never knows when one could use a dagger....

How long is it? And can I do "Hung Gar short knife set" with it?

Otherwise just turn it into your local police station, they'll take it in and insure it doesn't get stuck in someone accidentally.

Hey, so Matt and I found a knife - well, more accurately, a double-edged dagger with a hilt - outside our back gate. There's no blood on it or anything, so I imagine some "rebellious" suburban teenager lost it, but I have no idea what to do with it. Any suggestions?
