Sorry, folks, no sledding for me tonight. Work pretty much kicked my ass. I'm going to bed early tonight. Maybe this weekend sometime, weather permitting. I still have that urge to go flying down a hill with very little control. so it'll happen, but in typical style, I have no idea when or where.

Is the Mars Volta Album out? I new it was due shortly, but didn't think it was out yet... I am looking forward to the sebastien grangier and les montagnes album. I think it is due soon aswell.

Random question: has anyone heard the new Mars Volta album?

haha, right... V Day...

I think I'll make brownies, and spread pseudo-love in the form of chocolate amongst my lab mates...

I get to spend the evening with my eye doctor, as he peers deeply into my eyes... once the pupils have been dilated... should be... fun.

I'm probably not up for sledding today, just getting over a bit of a head cold...

And thanks Albert, happy belated Darwin day to you!

Everyone geared up for the annual scheduled romance day tomorrow?

"fair driving conditions"?? oh... right, moose... did the driver swerve to miss it, or did the impact cause the ditching? Some of those ditches are super, uh, deep. But hwy 40, 30km from Hinton shouldn't be too bad, it's paved, even, and unless they were ram-rodded by trees, it shouldn't have been too bad of a landing... maybe speed, eh?

thank goodness it didn't happen further south (then again, it's paved all the way (and beyond) to Cadomin and the Luskar mines).

Oi.

Good news: I got home before the sun came up (barely.)

Bad news: Moose puts bus in ditch south of Hinton.

Fortunately no fatalities, but a pretty crazy scene at the hospital. And I learned a lot about sedation because of this: "One person is now in critical condition with head injuries at the University of Alberta hospital in Edmonton."

Sorry I didn't say hi; it was 2:00 when we got to town with our patient. Lovely snowfall you folks have got going there, though. Can't imagine the morning commute was any fun, the way the ambulance slid around here and there.

Anyone up for Tobogganing Tomorrow night? as in wednesday the 13th. Some of you may have already gotten a seamingly random message already via text messaging regarding this already. I'm thinking 7ish so everyone can get home and then come. Location and time are still up in the air, but millwoods rec centre has lights and is a decent hill. Any sugestions are welcome. cummmon! you know you wanna!

Never doubt my intentions. I do everything for a reason.

Had I just posted the image directly to the board your first reaction would be to say to yourself "PHOTOSHOPPED!", but seeing it on the official National Geographic website gives credibility to the photo.

Well, I mean, the other two are the Afghanistan motion and the budget (which is necessarily a confidence motion.) I wouldn't suggest that either of those are frivolous.

You're right on this one, though; asinine is a great description of what's going on here.

(Oh, and Tay, seems to me you're losing a step. Time was you'd post that shit straight up -- no link at all, just the pic.)
