This has gone from bad to worse: Benazir Bhutto Assassinated.

Assassination of a prominent political figure in a regional power (already under emergency rule) by a destabilizing force in a part of the world where we have, for better or worse, a hugely vested interest -- this is going to get messy.

Never mind the billion+ people living in the region and the presence of nuclear weapons in the area, and the question of what role, if any, the Pakistani military played in the bombing.

Well, what I thought was a minor head cold actually isn't.

To everyone I shopped with yesterday, I am really sorry I breathed on you... I don't think you've got much of a chance of getting this, but just in case, I am REALLY SORRY! colds suck.

I'm going to play things by ear for a couple more hours and then send out a definitive e-mail about tomorrow night... The last thing anyone wants is to go to a party where the host is ill... for obvious reasons. And then, I guess, I'll just have to bring all my goodies to other events (yes, I did make some cookies etc.).

Merry Christmas!

I, unlike Alison, thought I wanted to go to mass, but didn't leave my mom's house with enough time to get there. Thanks for posting that though Mary!

(sorry for the dupication from the e-mail, I'm lazy, and wanted to reach out to everyone.)

Hi Friends O'Mine,

Time for another bi-monthly invitation to see me waste peoples' time!

On DECEMBER 30th, from 3:30-4:30 pm,

I am hosting a show that I put together so that I could get on CBC's contest, "Canada's Next Great Prime Minister."

It will be a comedy/political show, and it's FREE!!!!!

It will take place at the Comic Strip in West Edmonton Mall (on Bourbon Street), and it would really mean a lot to me if you could show up. The show will be taped for CBC to either use or not use according to their discretion, and I really need people to fill the joint to make it look like I'm a successful guy that could make a great reality show contestant for the Mothercorp.

I know a lot of you are busy, and I know a lot of you are lazy, but I would be indebted. Plus, if you show up, and I eventually go on to win the show, I'll buy you a beer.

My original audition tape is here if you haven't seen it:

Please come, bring friends, tell your friends. It's free, and there will be 3 of my favourite comedians on the bill too.

ALSO: COME TO OUR PLACE FOR NEW YEAR'S!!! It'll be a wild shindig.
