Yes Alison, Nicholas is due on Thursday. I want Keri to go into labor now so he's born on TLAPD. That would be sweet.

Lesson of the day: When the anaesthetist suggests getting the spinal instead of general anaesthesia (especially if you have high blood pressure) take the spinal. It's worth it.

uh oh... so not only is tomorrow Talk Like A Pirate Day, BUT it's field trip day for the class I'm TA-ing... should be an interesting combination...
hmm, I wonder how many times I can say "yarr" before my supervisor gets angry with me... :) hahaha!
oi! so, I was meaning to post this on Sunday, but alas and alack, I forgot.
In my attempt to find Jesse and his slacklining crew down at Hawrelak on the weekend, I made the observation that a large proportion of people enjoying the gorgeous weather and sunshine that day were young couples with small children... and the more I thought about it, the more it became apparent that our group is headed down that road. In the next 5 to 10 years, we could be those packs of young families with rug rats in tow (or towing us) as we set forth on playground excursions... Heck, some time this week, right Keri?? Needless to say, I didn't find Jesse, but I did sit and bask in the sunshine while a new dad and his babe in arms stared at some geese nearby.
I hope all's well with you, Beckettses, and that little Nicholas has a safe entry into this world.

... Burke said. "I think Edmonton is one of the great hockey cities, not just in Canada, not just in North America, but in the world. I think players would be proud to play there. I think they just don't want to play for the current regime."

I'm interested in Ween. We'll see if my call schedule is similarly interested, though.
Also, how do we get spam in the exact three-hour period when I'm on the road? That shit's too uncanny.
