No match. I guess it could have been worse. I can't think of how, though, short of Lowe going scorched earth and, I don't know, stabbing Hemsky in both eyes. I know he's going to get fired sooner or later, burning the future (in terms of cap room and draft picks) on a longshot just makes it that much worse.
Oh, and in what's increasingly become a support group, there's street hockey at Lister Hall Sunday at 2:00. Come. Play. Commiserate.

Tay, you'd love the Met. You could probably spend three days there (I know I would have gone for a couple if I could have), but it's massive and, depending on your timing with respect to what they put out, you'd probably see that whole list of artists there. (Would that I could remember more than a few names, but I'm bad enough with them on a small scale, and this place was simply an art-splosion.)
And it's also admission by donation (though they suggest $20 for an adult).

that was the one thing I didn't do when I was in Vancouver. I had a really good time doing everything else, but damn if I'm not jealous of you Talor... all those famous artists together in one place...
any stand-out pieces in your opinion?
hell, what am I complaining about? I got to see a Klimt exhibition in Paris...
still... Dali would've been awesome.

Hmm... maybe I should have answered 'yes' when the guy saying he was calling on behalf of the Prime Minister asked me if I was a supporter of the Conservative Party. At least it might have led to an explanation for the call, instead of him just thanking me for my time and hanging up...

PRETTY FUCKIN KILLER. Tuesdays are free by donation at the van art gallery. FUCKSYES.

having just got home from Vancouver/Seattle, I can give you some airport security advice of my own:
When your bag gets checked because it looks suspicious going through the metal detector, don't say "now THAT'S service" when they buckle it back up for you after searching it.
It's not funny. They won't laugh. Trust me.
Also, here's a fun game to play when crossing national borders by car:
Say the word "patience" over and over and over again as many times in a row until you get through the checkstop and make it to the other side.
We totally scored 10 points on that one. It was awesome. HAMMER IT HOME.
