Alison - Probably something you never look at or use fell down. Very cute dress, by the way!

I am in the horse show that is going on at the Whitemud Equine Center from now to Sunday. I'm near the end of the day every day, so probably between 4-6 most days (Sunday will probably be earlier). Just thought I'd let you all know in case you were interested in coming down. I'll have my cell phone with me so if you want a more exact idea of a particular day you can call me.

if something goes *sliiiip BANG* really loudly, you would think the source of the noise would be self-evident, right?

I'd like to know what fell... it even echoed, andshort of windows (all already closed) I haven't the foggiest idea.

suggestions?

you know, I'm not sure!
I bought the yarn in May, so I guess then? I was knitting in High Level at the end of the month, but it's been sort of stop n' go... what with knitting not being a summery thing really... and the whole moving adventure... but yeah, success! and thanks.

Alison, that is so cute! How long have you been working on it? It looks like it was a big project.

For anyone that liked pandora, check out www.last.fm . I haven't used it a lot yet, but it seems pretty cool.

I like actionscript in Flash, its just a bit of a learning curve to figure out where everything goes to make everything interact and work right. Just shows how talented the people that produce good Flash.

But, if you like scripting with the vector graphics, check out SVG. Unfortunately it's not widely supported (yet?), but it's pretty neat to be able to script vector graphics without an editor by using XML and javascript.

Steorn - The guy did sound pretty honest and up front in his interview. I think you're right Taylor, the guy does believe what he is saying and isn't just out to screw people out of their money. I remain optimistic that there is a source of energy in either magnetism or gravity that we have yet tapped in to. Anyways, Engadget has been pretty good at following it, so we'll see what comes of it.

It's funny, my job is to make things in Flash and yet I've never learned any action script until this last week when I started making the Champion City Records website. I love how flexible the language is though. I can write a very vague function that only makes reference to a potential object which I call "this". And then I can pass any object I've got into that function and the "this" applies to that object! SO SWEET. Plus I can nest objects within objects and access them in incredibly simple manners. It's ridiculously flexible. I love it.

I'm guessing this is old news for anyone who's programmed in visual object-oriented languages before... but for me (someone who's previous programming experience has been limited to various forms of BASIC, javascript and java) this is a BIG DEAL. It really just makes things so much easier.
