sweet. I'm totally posting this from my new office downtown!
3rd floor Energy Square. The big orange building on Jasper Ave. It's right between Halo/Red Star and the Boston Pizza. Next door is a law firm. This place is tight. We got our desks/computers/internet in today.
And tonight I came in after hours to set up my sound system. I bought a wicked technics receiver and a couple speakers from VV for like $20. It's awesome.
I can see Jasper ave from my window right now. Soooo rad.
We're getting proper office chairs in tomorrow. My desk is all glass and black trim. It looks classy.
Soon we're going to have a huge LCD TV delivered and video game consoles. And we're each getting these massive bean-bag chair things that can turn into futons or even couches. They're rad.
Dude from Pixeljam is in town. He flew up from San Francisco. Albert, those are the guys who made Gamma Bros!!! He's coming to our office tomorrow to learn how to use our massively multiplayer server technology!
MY JOB IS SO AWESOME. I LOVE WORK!
My life has done like a total 360 since I finished university. When I was in school, I hated waking up and leaving the house. Now it's the opposite! My job is to make video games. I have an amazing girlfriend. One of my bands is going on tour in a few months. I'm going to see the Boredoms at the end of the month in Calgary, and I'm going to see Daft Punk in Seattle at the end of July. Plus I have all the raddest friends of all time.
MY LIFE IS SO FUCKING AWESOME.
I hope shit is going well for you guys too. Any of you work downtown these days? We should do lunch meetings!!! haha I love getting strange looks from all the suits down here. It's like "I CAN BE SUCCESSFUL LIKE YOU BUT ON MY OWN TERMS". It's just so satisfying.
Okay, seriously I'm going home now. I worked 10.5 hours today and then came in again tonight to set up my speakers. It's ridiculous. I'm going home for reals now! I SWEAR!

First Video: Bwhahahaha! Seems like something crazy to do! I liked the team tetris, poor dude though on the last one.
Second Video: Holy Shiet! That random dude off the street can really sing. What the hell is he doing selling cellphones?
Third Video: Not university physics again!

Schwarzenegger's an interesting politician. In spite of all the ridiculousness that surrounded his initial election (the dozens of opponents, the idiotic "Governator" branding), he really seems to have found his own way. The quiet story of the US elections last fall is that he won quite handily in a real campaign (I think the margin was something like a million votes.)
Maybe all that rhetoric about not needing to tie himself to special interests actually meant something. I mean, how many politicians would be willing to publicly that their great political inspiration (especially after having married into the Kennedy family) was Nixon?
He's definitely not afraid to do what he thinks is right (his emergence on the environment, and his strong climate change stance is definitely a departure from his party affiliation.) Should be interesting to see how the rest of his term plays not, not to mention where he heads once he hits his gubernatorial term limit in 2010.

Maybe I haven't given this _____ Has Talent thing a fair shake. This video is about as feel-good as I've seen from reality TV, but I have a gnawing feeling it's not a common occurrence on shows like these:

well, Arnie just made a very good impression on me...
he's on the Hour with George Strombolopolous... and said that he didn't get elected to be governor by the republican party, he got elected by the people, and so he does what the people want/need him to do, not the republican party. i'm impressed.
