Happy Birthday, Leo. I shall impart to you the lessons I have learned today, in the hopes that they may come in handy for you in the future:

  1. Being sick the day of an anatomy lab exam and an interview about third-year clerkship is bad (although I may have scored points by insisting on not shaking the doctors' hands.)

  2. Formalin aromatherapy does not cure the common cold.

  3. Despite the most vehement insistence of my subconscious, there is no standardized physical exam for assessing whether or not a patient is capable of self-driven flight (darn.)

No snow yet, just a lot of rain. So bring a really good umbrella, layers, and a warm jacket in case it does snow. If it rains, it'll be a wet cold and really windy. We'll be bussing and walking around O-town, so be prepared!

With this new development, and the startling fact that there remains a slim hope chance that Colorado will knock Calgary out of the playoffs (assuming the Oilers do their part on Saturday by (i) winning; and (ii) maiming Kiprusoff, Iginla, Phaneuf, and, for the hell of it, McCarty), there's actually a reason to watch the last two games of the season.
