and since you asked; the pillow is okay. But I prefer this shirt:
But maybe I'm just biased. If I glance at it too quickly I think it says "sorest fag"; and that's some funny shit.
Yeah, on second thought stick with the pillow.

Hey, I was really only dissing the three on the left. The ones on the right -- the bag, the sweater, and to an extent even the butterflies -- are alright.
Not "hip"? No worries, that's what I'm here for.
Have more faith in yourself; you could totally pull off any of those articles I chose. The key to pulling off anything is attitude. If somebody's like "pfft, nice sweater..." you can answer them in two ways:
A. "uh, hahaha... yeah... I'm wearing it as a joke. My friend dared me." In which case you come off a total loser.
or
B. "Fuck you man, this shit is HAWT." In which case they wonder to themselves "maybe she's onto something...". It's all about confidence.
Besides, you think I didn't feel like a total tool the first time I wore my dragon/japan jacket? But I was like "fuck this, I don't care what anybody else thinks... I still say it's kick-ass." And NOW it's like my favourite jacket EVER.
And yes, the stripey poncho is cool...

I just found the most amazing card ever... and card maker for that matter: SappyCards
Check this one out: . . . . . . . . . . . . . .and, should I buy this?
I am totally in love with the design, but damned if I know if it's just a lust at first sight thing, or if I'll actually want to take it home with me at the end of the day... so-to-speak. lovely though, ain't it?

thanks Taylor, I would've been lost without you.
c'mon now, though, think about me here. I've been trying to tell people for well over a year now, I am unhip and I'm okay with that.
besides, first off: it's not like I'd make more than the alligator hands (because they fuckin' rawk, I don't care what you say!), a few butterflies and the smoking-man-bag; and secondly: can you picture me in any of the items you selected? I would come off looking like a total poser. though I really love the d bag and maybe I could get away with the leg warmers, though perhaps not those colours...
anyway, I wasn't selecting only the pictures I liked, but some of the goofier ones in there too, just for impact. Really, those monster feet would call for some really special occasion/person, and aren't something I'd likely make, but it certainly gives you a different idea of the kind of knitting book it is...
wait a minute, you think the stripey poncho is cool? man, i dunno about that one...

My grandma taught me how to knit a scarf when I was little, but I forget how to do it now.
I checked out Stitch N' Bitch at first for the sweet designs, but stayed for the 3rd-wave feminist perspective. Unfortunately, though I've read the book and know the terminology (knit, purl, in-the-round etc.), I can't actually do any of it myself.
That's what my sister's for; "hey, make me this shit pronto!".
Like I said: feminism is a beautiful thing, non?
